Mary's Genealogy Treasures - another list of world genealogy sites, but with a Canadian bias.

ScotlandsPlaces A great place to start if you want to find where a place is in Scotland.
The "Old" and "New" Statistical Accounts of Scotland are reports produced by parish ministers in the time periods of 1791-99 and 1834-45 respectively. The old accounts are not arranged in geographical order, but the new accounts are and the volumes covering the Tay Valley counties can also be viewed (and can be downloaded) at Archive.org:

New Zealand

Auckland War Memorial Museum Cenotaph Database was started primarily as a roll of honour of those who died as a result of war service. Now it includes many personnel who have died since war service. Almost all of those who served in WW1 are included.

USA

FamilySearch.org claims to be the largest genealogy organization in the world. It is provided by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormons).
Ancestry is a major subscription genealogical database with sites for UK & Ireland, USA, Australia and Canada as well as France, Germany, Italy and Sweden. There are different subscription rates, the lowest giving access to limited resources on a single site, the highest giving access to all resourcs on all sites. Some sites have pay per view options.
Another major subscription genealogical database, owned by Dundee-based brightsolid, is findmypast which has sites for the UK, Ireland, USA, and Australia & New Zealand.There are different subscription rates, the lowest giving access to limited resources on a single site, the highest giving access to all resourcs on all sites. Some sites have pay per view options.
familyrelatives.com has a wide range of records, some not fond elsewhere. It requires (free) registration and has subscription and pay per view options..
